Barely Hanging in There on SOAS Radio

As part of my initiative to revive SOAS Radio after two years of radio silence, I co-hosted, produced and edited Barely Hanging in There. It is a weekly radio show about social issues that may be facing SOAS's students, alumni, and community.

Calgary Arabia Radio

Description: I founded Calgary Arabia radio in 2015. Calgary Arabia was a radio show, broadcast on Red FM 106.7 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and live streamed on Facebook every Thursday from 10 pm to 12 AM. Calgary Arabia's goal was to give voice to the Canadian Arab community and keep our audience on track with current artistic and cultural happenings. In the first two years of hosting Calgary Arabia, the show had reached more than 1.8 million organic impressions. The show's segments were also published online on Facbeook, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Anghami.

Accreditations: During the 7 years of hosting & producing Calgary Arabia, I was able to cover countless events and festivals locally, nationally, and internationally. Some of the most prominent festivals are: The Cannes International Film Festival 2022 & 2021, The Academy Awards 2021, the Toronto International Film Festival 2019 & 2021, The Calgary International Film Festival 2018, 2020 & 2021, The Toronto Fashion Week 2019.

Expansion plan: With a plan to expand Calgary Arabia Radio to a 24/7 online radio station, the second half of 2022 is dedicated to building a team and programming that serves the Canadian Arab community across Canada

I communicated with artist managers, agents, and publicists. I wrote scripts for all segments on the show. I pre-interviewed guests. I prepared for interviews and conducted all of them.
